About
Perxli started with a simple, frustrating pattern we kept seeing: talented Kenyan creatives doing great work, then losing money, time and peace of mind because nothing about the business side of a project was formal.
Ask almost any freelance designer, photographer, videographer or copywriter in Kenya how a project usually starts, and you'll hear some version of the same story: a WhatsApp conversation, a verbal agreement, maybe a Google Doc if things get serious. No signed contract. No formal deposit. No real record of what was actually agreed.
That gap is where creatives get burned — clients who go quiet after the first draft, scope that quietly grows without extra pay, deposits that never land, invoices that get "forgotten." Not always because clients are bad actors, but because nothing in the process makes the agreement feel real or binding for either side.
We wanted a tool that replaces that messy stack — Google Docs for proposals, WhatsApp for confirmation, manual paperwork for invoices, M-Pesa for payment, and hope for follow-up — with one flow: describe the project, generate the right documents, get them signed, collect a deposit, deliver the work, get paid. Built for how creatives in Kenya actually work, in the currency, language and payment method that are already theirs.
We're not trying to turn creatives into administrators. The goal is the opposite — less time chasing, more time creating, with the paperwork handling itself in the background.
Freelance and independent creatives across Kenya — graphic designers, photographers, videographers, illustrators, copywriters — and the clients on the other side of their projects: SMEs, brands, NGOs and individuals who want the same clarity a formal process gives them.
